Senate Democrats cancel vote on DREAM Act
Senate Democrats cancel vote on DREAM Act, meaning the immigration measure is likely dead for the year.
DREAM Act
House of Representatives passed the DREAM Act with a vote of 216-198.
The DREAM Act legislation will now be sent to the Senate, which is expected to vote today on it.
Call our U.S. Senators and tell them to support the Dream Act or we will not support them next election time:

"Fremont made national headlines in June when voters there approved an ordinance barring illegal immigrants from renting or working in the city of 25,000. The ordinance has yet to go into effect as the city battles a lawsuit over its constitutionality...
"While the illegal immigration issue is not the reason for his resignation, it was a factor, said Edwards, a retired businessman. “Do those things play a part?” Edwards said. “Absolutely. It’s one of the issues that wears you down. It’s hard to leave. But I just feel it’s time.”"
