Vigil honors five dead infants at the State Capitol


Maria Walker and her daughter, Truliah, 5, joined Shirley Mora James in a vigil Tuesday commemorating five babies who have died since the state ended prenatal care for more than 1,600 women. The vigil was on the steps of the State Capitol in Lincoln.

Senate Democrats cancel vote on DREAM Act

Senate Democrats cancel vote on DREAM Act, meaning the immigration measure is likely dead for the year.

DREAM Act

House of Representatives passed the DREAM Act with a vote of 216-198.


The DREAM Act legislation will now be sent to the Senate, which is expected to vote today on it.
